The Birkenstock Blue Sport Footbeds are a 3/4-length support insole that's focused on providing semi-rigid arch & metatarsal support in a slim profile. Ideal for tight-fitting shoes, shoes without removable insoles, or to add support atop a flat cushioned insole, the Blue Sport footbeds work best for those with low to medium-arched feet looking for support with minimal cushioning.
Description
Looking at the insole itself, the entire top of the insole is lined in a pale blue fabric that is 73% cotton and 27% synthetic viscose. The middle cork layer provides semi-rigid arch support and added metatarsal support through a built-in metatarsal pad at the front of the insole. Lastly, the bottom of the insole is lined in moleskin to prevent the insole from moving during wear and to protect the cork center of the insole. A support on the underside of the insole that runs from edge to edge below the base of the foot arch will provide extra support and stability.
